The AWC Company is seeking an organized, self motivated Process Engineer/ Quality Manager to work in the Automotive (JIT) Environment.

Summary:

Reporting to the President, the candidate will be involved in troubleshooting by identifying and implementing initiatives aimed at improving efficiency, reducing cost and increasing productivity by developing new processes, fixing existing issues and will be responsible for ensuring a quality product that is produced prior to shipping. You will be expected to provide leadership, communication, decision making, team building and direction in implementing and maintaining an ISO 9001 compliant Quality Management System.

Quality Responsibilities:

• Manage the internal and external audit functions to ensure compliance to regulatory and statutory requirements. Ensure monitoring of the quality of the tools is performed to meet customer requirements.
• Support the President by analyzing customer concerns, preparing responses, and suggest resolutions to ensure customer requirements are addressed.
• Organize, maintain and improve housekeeping in all areas.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Post secondary diploma or degree preferable in mechanical or manufacturing technology or engineering.
• Minimum 5-7 years in Process Engineering and Supervisory experience
• Experience in implementing and maintaining ISO compliance systems
• Knowledge of Automotive Quality Requirements such as APQP, DFMEA, DVP&R, SPC, PPAP
• Experience with or working knowledge of CNC Machining Centres.
• CMM programming and dimensional verification experience would be an asset.
• Production scheduling, equipment maintenance schedules experience an asset.
• Experience to oversee training for production techniques and safety requirements.
