Types of low pressure moulds (molds) produced
Similar to other processes at the AWC Company we fully support the complete process. Our many years of experience in this area working with our customers have allowed us to develop in depth knowledge of the process.
- Initial design working with data to finalize practical & moldable parts.
- Prototyping of parts often in sand to satisfy customer requirements.
- We manufacture molds in many materials from cast iron to H13 depending on volume production.
- We manufacture semi-permanent molds using both shell or cold set processes for cores.
- We manufacture moulds (molds) so far up 10,000lbs for large parts.
- In addition to making the moulds (molds) we offer to fabricate/weld & CNC machine these castings on our 5 axis machining centers for low volume proving or prototyping of processes.
The picture shows a complete project where we worked closely with the foundry, & customer to design part to manufacture, manufacture mould (mold) & core boxes, machine the assembled castings to prove production capability.
